Fitting

Two tiny cockatiels sit inside round hoops, with yellow crests, orange cheeks and white beads above them. Each pair combines a side-facing bird and a front-facing bird.

Choose pierced hooks or clip-ons. Both options are sold as a pair.

Materials

  • Birds: resin.
  • Pierced hooks and hoops: US-made 14K gold-filled.
  • Clip-on fittings: 14K-gold-plated copper.
  • White beads: Swarovski imitation pearls.

Size and weight

  • Hoop diameter: approximately 20 mm.
  • Side-facing bird: approximately 18 mm high including the tail, and 9 mm wide.
  • Front-facing bird: approximately 14 mm high and 9 mm wide.
  • Diagrammed pierced-hook drop: approximately 43 mm from the top of the hook to the front-facing bird's feet and hoop bottom.
  • Diagrammed clip-on drop: approximately 40 mm from the front ear-contact level to the front-facing bird's feet and hoop bottom.
  • The side-facing tail extends below those drop endpoints. The clip-on measurement also excludes the raised adjustment screw.
  • Approximate weight per earring: 1.1 g for pierced hooks or 1.6 g for clip-ons.
